Twenty City crews continue to apply granular salt pre-wet with brine on arterial streets and bridges.  Crews will continue to monitor and treat streets overnight in anticipation of falling temperatures and slick conditions Saturday morning.  Arterial street conditions range from wet to snow-packed.  Drivers should be alert for slick spots and black ice, especially in untreated areas.

Twenty City crews are applying granular salt pre-wet with brine on arterial streets and bridges.  Crews will continue to monitor and treat streets overnight in anticipation of falling temperatures and slick conditions.  Arterial street conditions range from wet to snow-covered.  Drivers should be alert for slick spots and black ice, especially in untreated areas.

A National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight tonight.  Snow accumulation up to 3 inches and winds up to 35 mph are possible.

Street Condition Update for Friday, January 10, 2020, 10:30 a.m.

City crews have completed an application of anti-ice brine to arterial streets, school and bus routes.  Traffic Management continues monitor weather conditions.  More than 60 material spreading and plowing crews are standing by.

A National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until midnight tonight.  Snow accumulation up to 5 inches and winds up to 40 mph are possible.

Street Condition Update for Thursday, January 9, 2020, 10 a.m.

Due to predicted snow, beginning at 12:01 a.m. Friday, 15 City crews will apply anti-ice brine to arterial streets, school and bus routes. Traffic Management will monitor conditions throughout the day.  Additional resources are ready to be deployed as needed.

Twenty crews continue to patrol routes applying granular salt pre-wet with anti-ice brine.  Arterial streets are wet with areas of dry pavement.  Winter driving conditions are in effect.  Flurries are possible through the morning.  Travelers should be alert for slick spots and black ice, especially on untreated streets and sidewalks.  Slow down and increase your following and stopping distance.

Twenty crews were deployed at 5:30 p.m. applying granular salt pre-wet with anti-ice brine to arterial streets and bridges.  Winter driving conditions are in effect.  Snow showers are expected to continue through midnight.  Travelers should be alert for slick spots and black ice, especially on untreated streets and sidewalks.  Slow down and increase your following and stopping distance.

Street Condition Update for Sunday, December 29, 2019, 8 a.m.

Twenty crews treated arterial streets and bridges with granular salt pre-wet with anti-ice brine overnight.  The Traffic Management Center will suspend patrols at 8 a.m. and will remain ready to respond to changing weather throughout the day and night.  Arterial streets are wet with normal driving conditions.  Drivers should be alert for slick spots and black ice, especially on untreated streets.

Street Condition Update for Saturday, December 28, 2019, 11 p.m.

Beginning at midnight, twenty crews will begin patrolling arterial streets and bridges applying salt pre-wet with anti-ice brine.  Wet pavement and below freezing temperatures create the potential for slick streets and black ice.  Drivers should use extreme caution, especially on untreated streets, and increase following and stopping distance.

The National Weather Service Hazardous Weather Outlook indicates rain transitioning to a wintry mix Sunday morning before changing to light snow Sunday afternoon.

Twenty City crews are nearing completion of their first application of granular salt pre-wet with anti-ice brine to arterial streets.  At 4 p.m., more than 60 plow crews will begin clearing arterial, bus and school routes to minimize overnight refreezing of residual snow.  Crews report street conditions ranging from slush-covered to snow-packed.  Drivers should be alert for slick spots, especially in untreated areas.
