Street Condition Update for Wednesday, October 30, 2019, 4:15 p.m.

The Traffic Management Center has suspended winter operations for this weather event.  Additional precipitation is not expected. Crews report normal driving conditions.  Drivers are urged to be alert for slick areas.

Street Condition Update for Wednesday, October 30, 2019, 11:40 a.m.

Twenty City crews remain on patrol to treat slick areas as they develop.  All arterial streets, school and bus routes have been treated with granular salt pre-wet with anti-ice brine.  Crews report wet streets and urge drivers to be cautious, especially on untreated streets.

A National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. tonight.  Snow accumulation up to three inches is possible.

Street Condition Update for Wednesday, October 30, 2019, 5:30 a.m.

Twenty City crews have completed applying granular salt pre-wet with anti-ice brine to arterial streets, snow and bus routes. Crews will remain on patrol throughout the day.  Current driving conditions are normal, but slick spots may develop during the morning commute as precipitation moves into the area.

A National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. tonight.  Snow accumulation up to three inches is possible.

Street Condition Update for Tuesday, October 29, 2019, 4:40 p.m.

Beginning at 9 p.m. tonight, 15 City crews will apply anti-ice brine to arterial streets, school and bus routes.  Crews will monitor conditions and additional resources will be deployed as necessary.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory effective from midnight Tuesday to 1 a.m., Thursday, October 31.  Snow accumulation up to three inches is possible.  Depending on the amount of precipitation overnight Tuesday, slick road conditions are possible Wednesday morning.
