Street Condition Update for Saturday, March 31, 2018, 9:15 p.m.

In anticipation of possible snow overnight tonight, beginning at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, April 1, 20 City crews will pre-treat arterial streets with anti-ice brine.  The application is expected to be completed by 6 a.m.  Plow crews will be on standby and ready to deploy should conditions warrant.
 
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.  Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible.  Drivers are urged to use caution, especially on residential and other untreated streets.

Street Condition Update for Tuesday, March 20, 2018, 9:05 a.m.

Material spreading operations have ended and all City crews were recalled at 8 a.m. today.  Streets are wet and driving conditions are normal.

Streets and sidewalks are wet this morning, and you may see some slick spots as the temperature drops. 20 City crews have been out since midnight treating arterials and school and bus routes with granular salt pre-wet with liquid brine. They continue to monitor conditions and spread materials as needed.

With light snow expected overnight, 20 City crews will begin treating arterials and school and bus routes with granular salt pre-wet with liquid brine at 12:01 a.m.  They expect to complete operations by 7 a.m.

Street Condition Update for Sunday, March 11, 2018, 7:40 a.m.

Twenty City crews are applying granular salt pre-wet with brine to emergency snow routes and arterials streets to prevent slick driving conditions. Streets are generally wet with dry patches, creating normal travel conditions expected to last throughout the morning.

Precipitation moved out of the area by 7 a.m. However, crews will remain on duty this morning to treat slick areas that may develop due to changing weather conditions. Drivers should continue to be alert for slick conditions on streets and sidewalks.

Street Condition Update for Tuesday, March 6, 2018, 4 p.m.

City crews have completed their material spreading operations.  Streets are generally dry with normal travel conditions. Streets will be monitored overnight for changing conditions with staff ready to apply additional treatments as needed.

Drivers should use caution as overnight temperatures and sustained winds may cause refreezing of wet areas on streets and sidewalks.

Street Condition Update for Tuesday, March 6, 2018, 11 a.m.

Twenty-one City crews are spreading granular salt pre-wet with brine on emergency snow routes, arterials, school and bus routes.  Treated streets are wet with little or no snow cover, and non-treated streets are becoming wet with slush. All crews will remain on duty today and this evening to monitor street conditions and treat areas as needed.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 p.m. tonight. High winds and light snow are expected throughout the day.  Drivers are should use caution as near-freezing temperatures and high winds may create ice on streets and sidewalks.
